Matala is one of the most popular destinations of visitors in Crete and is 65km from Heraklion Airport. In a 10 minute drive away there are famous and well- known beaches, such us Kokkini Ammos, Kalamaki, Komos. Also, at 10 minutes you can be in the historic Palace of Phaistos and admire the Minoan Culture. All the southern part of the prefecture of Heraklion, consisting of Messara’s famous plain, is really a blessed place self- sufficient aiming to provide the strongest experiences and create the most enchanting memories to all visitors to Crete.
